About the Author
Ph.D. Candidate | Computational Biologist | Data Scientist | ML Scientist
Ready to dive into data science for biology?
My idea for building this blog is not just to store information or code from my projects, but also to help others who are starting in the field. I also hope it will help shape my own path throughout my academic and professional development. I plan to post and discuss methods and techniques used by me and my colleagues as we develop and apply large language models to solve problems in biology, with a focus on protein property prediction to advance infectious disease research.
My expertise includes fine-tuning and training LLMs, as well as designing computational and machine learning pipelines to create useful and insightful tools for biomedical research. My goal is to see my work become a valuable piece of technology that contributes to the fight against infectious diseases.
With a B.Sc. in Biological Sciences and an M.Sc. in Science specializing in virus physiopathology, along with industrial experience in vaccine quality control, I am currently a Ph.D. candidate combining biological knowledge with computational and data science skills to bridge the gap between AI innovation and biomedical impact.
